We work hard to be accurate, but mistakes happen. When they do, we correct them quickly and openly.
How to report an error
Use our contact form with the subject “Correction”. Include the link to the page, what you think is wrong and, if possible, a source that shows the correct information.
What happens next
- An editor reviews every correction request within two working days.
- If the information is wrong, we fix it and add a correction note to the article.
- If we decide no change is needed, we reply and explain why.
How corrections are shown
- Corrections (factual errors) get a dated note at the end of the article saying what was wrong and what we changed.
- Significant errors, such as a wrong release date in a headline, also get a note at the top of the article.
- Updates (new information, not errors) are shown with an “Updated” date and, on maintained pages, an entry in the update log.
- Spelling and formatting fixes that do not change meaning are made without a note.
What we do not do
We do not quietly change a headline claim, delete articles to hide mistakes, or change publish dates to make content look new. Articles are only removed for legal reasons, and we say so when that happens.
